God

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, existing as three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God is a personal deity, desiring to be known by His creation even as He fully knows His creation. To that end, God has eternally established a plan to redeem a people for Himself and make all things new, all for the purpose of His glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who has existed in eternal with God the Father. When the time was right, the Word of God put on flesh and was born of the virgin Mary, being both fully man and fully God. He lived a perfect, sinless life, and was crucified for the sins of the world. After three days, He rose again and appeared to His disciple and many others, before ascending to Heaven and taking His place at the right hand of God the Father. He serves as our perfect Advocate and High Priest.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of God, given to all believers at the moment of their salvation. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and is an active part of the believer’s life. It is through the Holy Spirit that we are sealed, comforted, guided, encouraged, convicted, and transformed into the image bearers of Christ.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word to all people, that all may know who He is, what He has done, and what He desires. It is the total revelation of God, without error or need of addition, and so it is the final authority on all things of faith and practice. That means what it says must be believed, what it requires must be fulfilled, and what it promises must be trusted.

Human Condition

We believe mankind is inherently sinful. God made man in His image, but man sinned when they chose something apart from the will of God. Because of our linage with Adam, we are sinners by nature and by choice, and sin against God warrants God’s wrath against us. It is only through the atoning work of Jesus Christ, our Savior, that we can have forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope for the future.

Salvation

We believe that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and none can come to the Father except through Him. The gift of salvation has been given to all people freely, stands eternally, and can’t be lost through any means.

The Church

We believe that the church is the united body of Christ spread throughout the world and expressed through the local body of believers. We are bound together by the presence of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of furthering the Gospel and growing in our faith. Jesus left His church two ordinances: baptism and communion. While these are not the means of our salvation, they are tangible symbols of the Gospel and useful for the encouragement and enrichment of the believer.

Satan

We believe in the literal being known as Satan, the Devil, or the Deceiver. He is a fallen angel who sought to usurp the position of God and failed. He now seeks to destroy God’s creation and lead God’s people away from Him. He will be destroyed in the last days as punishment for his rebellion.

Christ's Return

We believe that one day, Jesus will return to earth and rule over an earthly kingdom comprised of all God’s people. He will dry every tear and right every wrong, and His rule will last for all time. Only the Father knows the day and time, and so we as believers must be ever vigilant and ever active to reach people with the Gospel.
